About Sara

For 18 years Sara Hutchinson has brought the beauty and vitality of living plants to commercial and residential properties in the San Francisco area.

She brings a lifetime of experience.

Her pure love of plants was nurtured when she was a little girl, growing and picking fresh vegetables from the garden her mother planted each year to provide food for the family. Sara's childhood pet was a Coleus in her bedroom!

As a young adult Sara volunteered to work in Israel on a kibbutz, where she was inspired by the vibrant contribution to daily life provided by plants, flowers and trees. Fascinated by farming, she rose at dawn to pick apples, at their best before the day's heat set in, and was she was mentored by an elderly farmer who taught her how to graft avocado plants to become bearing trees.
